Prime multi-chamber propulsion system with nozzle extension (variants).

RF patent № 2267026

The invention refers to the rocketry and can be used at making or updating the prime multi-chamber propulsion systems.
The first variant of the design is a prime multi-chamber propulsion system with nozzle extension equipped with the load-carrying element, in so doing the nozzle extension is made two-position and has a form of the glass which bottom part is equipped with holes for nozzles installed with the circular gap. In so doing, the nozzle extension grasps nozzles and is installed on the load-carrying element with the possibility of longitudinal displacement of the nozzle extension from the transport position where the nozzle extension exit projects forward the nozzles exit on the length lesser or equal to the double difference between the internal diameter of the nozzle extension near the nozzle exit and the nozzle exit diameter multiplied by the square root of the number of nozzles. The second variant of the design differs from the first one in the fact that nozzle extension has a form of the glass with telescopic lateral surface, for example, in the kind of telescopic sections. While transferring the nozzle extension from the transport position to the working one it projects forward the nozzles exit on the length lesser or equal to the double difference between the internal diameter of the nozzle extension section and the diameter of the nozzle extension multiplied by the square root of the number of nozzles. The invention provides thrust increase by generation of increased-pressure areas forming at interaction of exhaust jets of the engine with nozzle extension walls.
Performed estimation of the invention use efficiency has shown the possibility to increase prime multi-chamber propulsion system thrust up to 3%.
