The invention belongs to the field of space technology, more specifically,
to arrangements for low-grade heat removal from spacecraft systems.
Increasing efficiency and reliability of operation of droplet cooler-radiator
(DCR) is achieved due to the introduction it its structure of the following constituents:
- the thermal stabilization system consisting of a set of heaters
and means of thermal-control out of shield-vacuum insulation on DCR members;
- the bypass pipeline between the generator and collector of droplets
with the volumetric-expansion compensator and electric heater equipped with
the automatic temperature controller;
- hydraulic capacitors at the inlet of the droplet generator and at
the outlet of the droplet collector.
An innovative technology in the DCR construction is also the use of the outlet
grid (spinneret) of the droplet generator, thereat, channels of the grid differ
from each other in geometric and hydraulic characteristics varying from
the center (the axis of symmetry) to the periphery of the grid. The droplet
collector in the DCR may be designed passive with the inner surface formed by
walls of one or a few slotted channels.
