The mode of operation of turbopump unit and arrangement for its realization

FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbopump sets. SUBSTANCE: to provide lubricating and cooling of radial and axial bearing supports of rotor and operation of rotor axial force relief devices, common volume of liquid extracted from high pressure space behind pump impeller is used in succession. Proposed turbopump set contains pump and drive turbine separated by sealing unit and made on common supports of rotor. Radial bearing supports are combined with slot seals on beads of driving and driven disks of pump impeller. Axial supports are made in form of axial sliding bearing supports combined with axial relief devices. Axial supports are arranged between ring beads at end face surfaces of pump impeller and mating beads of end face surfaces of housing. EFFECT: increased service life, simplified design and increased efficiency of turbopump set.
