The method for measurement of electric propulsion thrust (variants) and the device for its realization

The invention refers to thrust-measuring equipment, namely, to the facilities for measurement of electric propulsion thrust. The first variant of the method consists in that the thruster is placed on the moving element of the thrust-measuring device and its firing, traffic of signal from the moving element to the transducer of the thrust-measuring device, reading the transducer are implemented. Then, signal transmission from the moving element to the transducer and reading the transducer are stopped. The electric propulsion thrust is defined by a difference between the readings determined by available traffic of signal from the moving element to the transducer and those determined at a stoppage of this signal transmission.
The second variant of the method consists in that the thruster is placed on the moving element of the thrust-measuring device, firing of the thruster is implemented, the signal from the moving element is transmitted to the transducer of that device, reading the transducer is taken. Then the thruster is disconnected, and a difference between transducer readings before and after thruster disconnection is determined. Upon this the signal transmission from the moving element to the transducer is stopped. The thruster is started once more, reading the transducer is taken again and a difference between the readings before and after thruster disconnection is determined. The thrust is derived by subtracting a second difference from a first one. The device incorporates the moving element (1) with the thruster (2) installed on the device, the thrust pick-up (3), the component (4) of the thrust transmission from the moving element (1) to the pick-up (3). The thrust transmission element (4) is fitted with the gear (5) required for disengaging of the thrust pick-up (3) and the moving element (1).
Engineering outcome of the invention is a rise in an accuracy of measurement.
