The invention refers to pump building and may be usable in pumps and turbopump units. The centrifugal pump incorporates the casing, the shaft on which the impeller free axial loads and movable in the axial direction is mounted and the cylindrical suports disposed at the shoulders of the driving and driven shrouds of the impeller on either side thereof and forming with the impeller radial supports and axial unloaders. The shoulders of the driving and driven shrouds are arranged on the outer diameter of the impeller. The cylindrical supports of the impeller are made in the form of steady and thrust bushes. The steady bushes are placed in the casing and enclose the shoulders of the impeller with a radial clearance, producing supports. The thrust bushes whose minimum diameter equals the diameter of the impeller inlet are arranged at end faces of the casing on the side of the impeller with end slots relative thereto, forming axial unloaders. The area of the flow cross-section of each end slot does not exceed that of the radial clearance in the radial support as viewed from the unloader. The diametrical section of the impeller is rectangular. The invention is aimed at simplification of pump design and increasing its operability life.
