for stand studies
of discharge performance of hydraulic resistance

The invention can be used to compute
the discharge performance of different convergent devices:
diaphragms, throttles, nozzles, and jets. The
installation contains a discharge tank with a level gage
mounted in it and a drainage tank.
They are connected with working and overflow liquid
manifolds and with two manifolds for gas feed and
discharge. Every manifold includes an electromagnetic
valve. The tanks are equipped with pressure transducers
and jackets for thermal conditioning. The first heat
exchanger, filter, flow meter, the second heat exchanger
and a tested element with temperature transducers at the
inlet and outlet and pressure drop transducer are mounted
in the working manifold.
The pipelines of the working manifold at the section from
the first heat exchanger to the tested element have a
thermal insulation. Computer controls the electromagnetic
valves and cocks. The pressure and temperature transducer
indications are recorded. The installation provides a
possibility to studying the influence of temperature and
kind of the working fluid on the discharge performance.
