Method for the fuel feed to the thermal engine chamber and device for its realization

RU patent № 2145039

The invention is destined for cooling of the injector assembly of thermal engine combustion chamber. The technique for fuel feed to the engine chamber consists in the fuel feed to the channel at an angle to its axis. At first the fuel is fed to the cooling channel of the thermal engine chamber, then it is sequentially delivered to cooling jackets of bell mouth, cylindrical channel section, manifold and fuel pipe, and further to the heat exchanger-accumulator where it is heated and in gaseous state delivered at first to the channel and then to the engine channel through inner space of the pipe, manifold and opening in the bell mouth walls. The device incorporates the case with channel in whose walls radial openings are made for fuel feed, and the cylindric section of the channel changes to the conic bell mouth connected with the engine chamber. Openings for fuel feed to the channel are oriented normally to generating lines of the bell mouth, the channel cylindric section and bell mouth are enclosed by fuel manifold with the pipe joined to the heat exchanger. The cooling passages of the engine chamber and bell mouth's cooling jacket, cylindrical section of the oxidizer channel, manifold and fuel pipe are connected with each other and with the heat exchanger in series. The technique for fuel feed to the engine chamber and device for realization thereof provide cooling of thermal engine injector both in the exhaust cycle when only fuel is fed and in the stage combustion cycle when two propellants are fed.
