Combustion chamber

A combustion chamber relates to rocketry and can be used when designing injector heads of LRE combustion chambers, also in those branches of industry where furnace plants of different types are used. The injector head of combustion chamber has central injectors, which form the core of a flow, and peripheral monoprpellant injectors which surround the central ones. In doing so the peripheral monopropellant injectors, which are located at least on one of circumferences of the injector head, its diameter being 0.8...1 of the combustion chamber diameter, at a pitch of 0.15...0.40 of the combustion chamber diameter, feature a throughput of 5...50 % of the total flow rate through all monopropellant peripheral injectors. Such design of combustion chamber allows one to extend the region of combustion chamber steady operation while maintaining its efficiency which is determined only by losses of specific thrust for cooling the wall and by completeness of propellant combustion in the flow core.
