SOLID ROCKET MOTORS (SRM)
For cases and nozzles of solid propellant rocket
motor (SRM) the new composite and carbon-carbon materials
are applied. A new scheme of thrust vector control is
created.
Software and the methodologies are developed, it
permits a decrease of the amount of SRMs required for
finishing development from 100 pieces to 7-10 pieces at
the present time.
KeRC develops small-sized SRM for booster units of
space vehicles (SV), allowing it to reduce the mass and
to increase the duration of SV stay in space.
The 8 kN SRM for spacecraft booster unit: it was put
through firing; solid-propellant charge mass is 40 kg.
Case of "lentil" - type is manufactured from
carbon-phenolic. The nozzle unit with expandable nozzle
extension to area expansion ratio of 10 is produced from
carbon-carbon composite material.
At participation of Keldysh Research Center "Katyusha",
"Burya", "Topol", the sea-, railroad-,
silo-based, ballistic missiles, "Iskander", SRM
for "Energiya-Buran"are created.
